The current company management comprises of four people who together represent broad expertise within sales, purchasing, quality, logistics, environment, security, IT, marketing, store establishment and finance.
ORGANIZATION PER DEPARTMENT
Swedol's organization is structured based on the business model which has been presented previously and aims to support the process flow of the business model in the best possible manner. The relevant departments comprise Purchasing and quality, Security and sustainability, IT, Marketing, Establishment and logistics, Finance and Sales.
Besides Sales, Logistics and the Establishment function, all departments are located at the headquarters in Tyresö. However these three departments are also represented at the headquarters through the respective manager. All in all the entire company management is located at the headquarters to the advantage of communication between the central functions of the business model. Approximately 56 of the company's 400 employees worked here at the end of 2011.
The Central Warehouse
The central warehouse has an area of 16,000 square meters and is located in Örebro. With a total of 50 employees at the end of 2011, it is the hub for much of Swedol’s business. The organization of the central warehouse is managed by a storage manager on-site and is organized based on the three warehouse processes, inbound delivery, outbound delivery and stock maintenance.
At year-end 2011, Swedol had 37 stores in Sweden and three in Norway, and an additional seven stores will be opened during 2012. In total, the stores employed approximately 275 employees at the end of 2011. In coming years, the stores will account for the bulk of the company's new hires. In addition to the stores, the sales organization during 2011 comprised of an order group and an on-the-ground representative group which, among other things, is in charge of on-the-ground sales. In addition to the stores, the sales organization had 24 employees at the year-end 2011.
